Venice Beach
Podobno Los Angeles można kochać albo nienawidzić. W tym roku odwiedziłam już po raz trzeci to miasto i zdecydowanie należę do tej pierwszej grupy. Chociaż na pewno nie widziałabym tam siebie na stałe, to każdą z wizyt wspominam niesamowicie fajnie i na pewno kiedyś znów chciałabym powrócić na kilka dni. W dzisiejszym wpisie przedstawię LA moim subiektywnym okiem. 7 dni to wystarczająco dużo, by zobaczyć najważniejsze miejsca miasta, a przy okazji wybrać się gdzieś poza jego granice. Los Angeles jest ogromnym miastem i najlepszym sposobem na jego zwiedzanie jest zdecydowanie przemieszanie się samochodem. Pierwszy raz w LA byłam 5 lat temu i wtedy nie miałam wypożyczonego samochodu, dlatego mam porównanie jak wygląda poruszanie się po tym mieście własnym pojazdem, a jak komunikacją miejską lub taksówkami. Taksówki są bardzo drogie, a komunikacja miejska żyje własnym życiem, więc naprawdę było mi wtedy szkoda zmarnowanego czasu na szukanie przystanków lub łapanie taksówek. Przyjeżdżając na drugi koniec świata nie ma sensu oszczędzać na samochodzie, bo ta niezależność i możliwość dojechania w przeróżne miejsca jest naprawdę warta wydania pieniędzy.

You can either love or hate LA. This year I've visited the city for the third time and I definately belong to the group of fans. Although I can't imagine myself moving there, every visit was remarkable and I wish to come back to LA for a few days some day. This post is my subjective Los Angeles perception. 7 days are enough to see the most important atractions, some of them outside the city. Los Angeles is a huge city and definately the best way for sight-seeing is by renting a car. I visited LA for the first time 5 years ago and I didn't rent a car then. So, I can easily compare how to move across the city by a car, a cab or public transport. Taxis are extremely expensive and public transport unreliable, so I still remember how much time I waisted hailing a cab or looking for a bus stop. When travelling to the other side of the world saving money on renting a car is pointless, because independence and reaching various places quickly is worth every cent.
